Install Ample on your phone

Ample is a web app. There is nothing to download from an app store. You add it to your home screen from the browser, and from then on it opens full-screen like any other app and stays signed in.

Do setup in the browser first

Sign in at app.getample.app in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android, finish onboarding, and connect your first bank there. The Plaid sign-in screen works best in the full browser. Once your accounts are connected, install.

iPhone

1. Open app.getample.app in Safari. Other browsers on iPhone cannot add to the home screen.
2. Tap Share, the square with the arrow at the bottom of the screen.
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.

The Ample icon appears on your home screen. Open it from there from now on.

Android

1. Open app.getample.app in Chrome.
2. Tap the ⋮ menu at the top right.
3. Tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen), then Install.

If something looks wrong

• The installed app shows a sign-in screen: sign in once; it stays signed in after that.
• Add to Home Screen is missing on iPhone: you are not in Safari. Open the address in Safari and try again.
• The icon opens an old version: close it fully and open it again. It updates itself.
• A bank connection asks you to sign in again: do that in Safari or Chrome, then go back to the installed app. See Reconnecting a bank.
